Sports have a unique way of bringing people together, creating moments that transcend the game itself. Whether you're on the field, in the stands, or watching from home, sports stir emotion, teach discipline, and build bonds that last a lifetime. They push individuals to be better physically, mentally, and emotionally. From lessons in teamwork and leadership to the thrill of competition and the pain of loss, sports reflect life in its rawest form. They’re more than just games. They're a passion, a community, and a powerful force that shapes who we are.

Some of my earliest and best memories come from sitting in the stands at Soldier Field with my dad, bundled up in the freezing Chicago wind, watching the Bears take the field. Starting in second grade, we went to every home game until I graduated high school. It was more than just a tradition. It was something sacred. Sundays weren’t just game days, they were bonding moments, lessons in loyalty, and a front-row seat to the passion, heartbreak, and hope that sports bring into people’s lives.
From a young age, I wasn’t just a fan—I was an athlete. I played sports my entire life. I lived for it, whether it was football in the backyard, pick-up basketball at the park, or competing in organized leagues. By the time I reached high school, it had completely overtaken my schedule. I was waking up before the sun for 6 a.m. lacrosse practices, grinding through a full school day, and heading straight into three-hour basketball practices after class. There were no breaks. There are no real days off. But I loved it. I craved the grind, the pursuit of getting better every single day.
That kind of schedule wasn’t easy, but it shaped me. Without it, I would have been a different person than I am today. It taught me how to manage my time, how to push through exhaustion, and how to stay committed even when it would’ve been easier to quit. It taught me the value of preparation and the importance of showing up for myself and my teammates. In every locker room, on every sideline, I learned what it meant to be a leader. Not just the one who scored the most points but kept others' heads high, stayed focused, and held everyone, including myself, accountable.
Sports gives me my highest highs, whether buzzer beaters, championship runs, or come-from-behind wins, and also my lowest lows. The gut-wrenching losses. The heartbreak of missing the cut. The frustration of falling short despite giving it everything you had. But those moments are what make sports so real. They mirror life in a way that nothing else can. You can be on top of the world one day and brought to reality the next. And still, you get up and go again.
To this day, nothing would mean more than seeing the Chicago Bears win a Super Bowl. I’ve been through the heartbreaks, the rebuilds, the near misses. I’ve watched every season with hope, no matter how many times it’s been broken. That’s the power of loyalty and belief. That’s what sports teach you: to stay committed through the ups and downs, to believe in something bigger than yourself, and to fight for it no matter what.
Honestly, that mindset translates directly into entrepreneurship. Building something from the ground up takes the same discipline, drive, and resilience that sports demand. Running a business means long hours, uncomfortable challenges, and a whole lot of trial and error. Like on the field or court, there’s no guarantee of success, but you show up anyway. You give your all. You trust your preparation. And you surround yourself with the right team.
Sports gave me everything. They taught me how to compete, how to lead, and how to handle failure. They taught me how to stay locked in, keep pushing when I’m tired, and celebrate the wins without losing sight of the next goal. My passion for the game will never fade. I bring the same fire I did when I was in tee ball into everything I still do today. Whether it’s business, relationships, or chasing my next big opportunity.
Sports didn’t just shape who I am. They built me from the ground up, and I wouldn’t trade that journey for anything.
